Margaret Bacon

Ms. Bacon is a Licensed Professional Engineer and a Professional Wetland Scientist with over 20 years experience planning, permitting, design and construction oversight for private and public projects.

Experience

  • Experience working on Chapter 149 Projects. Ms. Bacon was a Project Manager for the MA Dept. of Corrections (DOC) and managed several large facility and utility projects funded under MA Chapter 149
  • Transportation Planning, Environmental Permitting and Roadway Design; over five years experience working for MassHighway
  • Traffic Studies for  private development
  • Design and construction oversight of wetland restoration and replication projects
  • Design of stormwater management systems for roadway and private development projects
  • Familiar with State and Federal wetland permitting requirements and regulations
  • Project Manager and/or designer for subsurface utilities, including sewers, wastewater lift stations, waterlines and subsurface sewage disposal systems

Recent Projects

Ms. Bacon was the DOC Project Manager for several large infrastructure projects, and worked closely with the Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAM). Having worked formally for two state agencies, Ms. Bacon has extensive experience in working on large roadway and facility related construction projects. Responsibilities include, for both agencies, planning, permitting, design, preparation of bid documents and construction oversight.

  • BS Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
  • MBA from the University of Massachusetts
  • Associates Degree in Environmental Technology
